Sascha Scholz
Sascha Scholz, Managing Director and Engineering Director at SCHOTTEL Marine Technologies, is responsible for the technical development of the company.
Previously, he worked for several years in leading positions in the capital goods industry (including as R&D Manager and Product Management Director for mobile cranes), most recently as Director of Product Management and Business Intelligence at our sister company SCHOTTEL. During his eight years at the propulsion manufacturer, he drove forward the electrification and hybridisation of azimuth thrusters with several inventions and patents.
As a result, he was not only instrumental in the founding of SCHOTTEL Marine Technologies, but also acts as an important interface to the entire SCHOTTEL Group.
What does he particularly like about working at SCHOTTEL Marine Technologies? “I am always looking for improvements to existing products and services or completely new solutions that help our customers to make their own business more successful. Thereby, I focus on sustainability and longevity in particular, because we can no longer afford any further unbridled waste of finite resources. That’s exactly what I can contribute to here: literally breaking new ground with new subsea technologies such as the Swift Anchors technology that help to accelerate the energy transition.”
Away from work Sascha, who has a son, spends most of his time outdoors, for example mountain biking and hiking, or working on crafts.
