Meet the team:
Olajide works as Marine Projects Engineer at SCHOTTEL Marine Technologies. In this role, the 41-year-old is responsible for developing detailed project plans, budgets and schedules to ensure that projects meet targets and are successfully delivered within specific time and budget constraints.
As such, Olajide collaborates closely with the design teams and liaises with customers, contractors, and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, provide technical support and answer questions.
After completing his studies – Mechanical Engineering, B.Sc. at Obafemi Awolowo University, Nigeria, and Offshore and Ocean Technology, M.Sc. at Cranfield University, England – Olajide has collected more than 15 years’ experience in the management of project lifecycle phases from inception through to completion for several global operating companies.
What made Olajide join SCHOTTEL Marine Technologies? “Well, it’s a personal thing – call it a burning passion for green energy and the whole energy transition scene. Over the years, I’ve seen the energy landscape evolve, and the impact of renewable tech is just undeniable. I have been itching to take my skills and know-how and throw them into a sector that aligns with my values and the kind of future I want to be a part of. SCHOTTEL Marine Technologies provided me with that opportunity. These guys are rocking the boat (literally) with their innovative solutions. It’s the perfect playground for someone like me who’s been in the trenches of oil and gas but wants to make a meaningful switch to a more sustainable field.”
In his free time, Olajide takes pleasure in dedicating time to his wife and two young daughters. He is actively involved in volunteering to support indigent people and communities, and he also participates in religious outreaches and intercessions.
Happy to have you at SCHOTTEL Marine Technologies, Olajide!
