Meet the team:
Calum dunnett
Today, we’re excited to introduce Calum Dunnett, a Research Engineer at SCHOTTEL Marine Technologies. Calum, 27, holds a Master’s degree in Physics from the University of Dundee, where he developed a strong foundation in physics, mathematics, data modeling, and numerical simulation.
Driven by a desire to contribute to renewable energy science, he furthered his education through the prestigious IDCORE program, an initiative focused on engineering and research training for the offshore renewable energy sector.
At SCHOTTEL Marine Technologies, Calum applies his specialist skills in numerical modeling, design, and simulation, working closely with the research team. His multidisciplinary background brings new perspectives to the team and enhancing our commercial engineering capabilities.
“My experience at SCHOTTEL Marine Technologies through the IDCORE program has been a valuable bridge from academia to industry. It has significantly expanded my skills in both office-based engineering and practical applications. I’m excited to bring this new perspective to the team and continue learning and growing together.”
When he’s not advancing anchor design for the renewable energy industry, Calum enjoys making music – he plays bass guitar and violin – as well as going for runs.
Happy to have you at SCHOTTEL Marine Technologies, Calum!
