Getting Ready to
change the world of marine anchoring
SCHOTTEL Marine Technologies is currently carrying out an extensive test programme at the SCHOTTEL Group’s main production site in Dörth, Germany. The facility is built on rock, so that – after removal of the overburden – a dedicated SCHOTTEL Marine Technologies test site could be created directly next to the factory.
Comprehensive tests to prove the capability of the Swift Anchors technology are performed on this test site, which consists of a mixture of sandstone/siltstone and shale. These tests include e.g. anchor drilling, coring and sampling, anchor installation, tensioning tests, maximum load tests and fatigue load tests.
